This.
It's incredibly light and unbelievably warm, and due to its dense weave, it has a unique appearance, almost like melton or felt, yet it undeniably exudes a sense of luxury.
Introducing MOTHER HAND artisan sweaters, crafted with a quality rarely seen elsewhere.
These sweaters are made with the brand's foundational blend of "75% wool, 25% angora," but...
This series was created by making the sweaters, such as the regular GENT (crew neck type), larger than usual and then fulling them to completion.
It's a sweater that was "made big and then fulled," but I doubt there are many brands doing similar things, and I've never seen one.
The reason is that it's extremely difficult to full something and shrink it exactly as intended.
Nagai-san said that a long time ago.
When you make a sweater larger than usual and then shrink it, not all parts shrink evenly, and differences can arise, leading to distortion or loss of shape.
However, MOTHER HAND artisan sweaters are made by Mr. and Mrs. Nagai themselves.
That's why they understand everything from the yarn, to the fabric, to the design, down to the last detail.
Furthermore, they possess world-class, rare skills.
That's why MOTHER HAND artisan is MOTHER HAND artisan, creating sweaters that no one else can.
As I announced on this blog and Instagram the other day, I will be leaving CASANOVA&CO on January 5th.
This brand was the first brand I bought as a buyer, and it's a knit-specialized brand that I've continued to carry out of a pure and clear "love" for it.
Well, if I do say so myself, my philosophy of wanting to introduce things I "purely love" hasn't changed at all, no matter my age.
And what I can say I love are things that are
"things that only the person (designer) of that brand can create."
They are unique items that I truly feel this way about.
Therefore, in that sense, MOTHER HAND artisan truly embodies this, and they continue to create truly amazing things.

The fulled, densely woven fabric gains a firm, resilient core, giving the knit itself a sense of "self-support."
As a result, the neck circumference is designed to allow space around the neck, avoiding the constricting tightness often found in high-neck or turtleneck sweaters.

The MONS and BASTOGNE models previously introduced by MOTHER HAND artisan had a slightly voluminous size balance, but this one is sharper overall.
Therefore, the arms also form a beautifully clean outline without any excess.

As always, there are no rib changes on the cuffs or hem.

I've written about the characteristics of MOTHER HAND artisan sweaters in this blog for many years, so if you look at past articles, that should be enough, but there are no seams on the inside of the tubular arms.
I don't think people pay much attention to it, but it significantly changes the "comfort when worn."
In fact, the MOTHER HAND artisan sweater looks very simple, but it embodies "superb techniques based on super theory."
"The beauty of subtraction" that cannot be seen from the outside.
You can't see it from the outside, but you'll definitely feel the "difference" as you wear it over the years.
Specifically, it's full of techniques that can only be achieved by deeply understanding sweaters, such as the absence of visible details or reinforcements that are incorporated during the knitting process rather than being added later.
That's why I say this.
"It's divine."

As I wrote earlier, the fulled fabric is very warm, light, and subtly lustrous.
In my experience, the longer you wear it, the softer it seems to become as your body temperature transfers to it.
This is something you can't experience anywhere else.

The back.

A sweater knitted from the front hem.
The front body is knitted, the direction of the knit is changed, and the neck is knitted continuously on a home hand-knitting machine.
Because of this, there are no seams or anything on the neck.
It's a super paradise touch for the neck area.

I don't know if you can tell from the photo, but because it's fulled, the seams on the inside are super flat.
This is amazing.

Wearing it.
Even though I only put them out today, sizes 3 and 4 are already sold out, but I'm wearing size 3 at 167cm tall and 52kg.

As previously announced, only sizes 5 and 6 are left after just one day, but if the size fits you, please take a look.
I myself love the fulling model, and I have one that I've been ultra-heavy using for 6 years now, and it's still perfectly fine and really good.
Well, in my case, I don't really recommend it, and Mr. Nagai once got angry at me, but I throw it in the washing machine and call it "self-fulling," shrinking it further, and then squeezing my body into it. (laughs)
Then, it perfectly outlines my body's shape. (laughs)
I'm quite fond of it that way.
Well, the best thing to do is to wash and iron it according to the instructions on the attached tag.
The sweater introduced today, especially this model, would be great for those who are sensitive to cold.
If the size fits you, please check it out.
