Farewell message

I will be leaving CASANOVA&CO on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

The eight-plus years I spent at CASANOVA&CO, meeting all of you, our customers, were truly wonderful.

Every day, our customers gave me the energy to keep moving forward.

I am also incredibly grateful to the designers and everyone involved with the brands we have handled.

From the brands, creators, and technicians who put their heart and soul into their work and create truly amazing products, I learned about how to approach and engage with work, and more broadly, something close to "how to live."

I have written many times in the //subjunction blog about how clothes can "change your values" and "change your way of thinking."

I often talked about the same thing in the store, and it is undoubtedly something I have experienced personally.

The everyday fact that clothes are displayed in a store.

But that is made possible by someone's work.

And the higher the quality of the clothes, the higher the level of skill, time, and spirit poured into them.

In recent years, customers visiting CASANOVA&CO have started saying things like, "Kaneta Textile's fabrics are amazing," "Katsuri Keori's fabrics are amazing," and "Fashion Izumi's sewing is beautiful."

As a select shop (retailer), the only "communicator" and "messenger" in the apparel industry, I wanted to create such a store.

Fortunately, I believe that having weavers and sewing factories, not just designers, visit the store, transcending the boundaries of the apparel industry, is one necessary step for the future of the apparel industry.

However, I believe that such things were only possible because of the brands that supported us and the shared awareness among the upstream players in the apparel industry who possess high technical capabilities.

I truly believe that clothing is a profoundly deep subject and can be a "life education."

Therefore, to all of you who have acquired clothing through //subjunction, please cherish and use it to your heart's content.

And for 2025, CASANOVA&CO is already preparing for a new form, day by day.

We plan to operate as a select shop with even greater momentum and passion than before, so we would be grateful for your continued patronage.

I will be in the store until Sunday, January 5, and I plan to introduce more clothes on //subjunction, but for now, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you here.

Thank you for a little over eight years.

Akihiko Fukuda
