Hello.
This is Noguchi from CASANOVA&CO.
Today, I'd like to talk about the SARTO event that starts tomorrow.

SARTO
- off road -
2026.9.19(SAT) ~ 2026.9.27(SUN)
I’ve been wanting to write this blog post all week, but things have been incredibly busy—I barely even had time to open my computer...
Now that the setup has settled down a bit, I’d like to give a brief introduction to the items, using the pieces and style photos I’ve been posting on Instagram over the last few days.

[HEAVY COTTON TWILL] SHORT COVERALL JACKET
color _ BLACK
size _ M
First, one of SARTO’s classic styles: the SHORT COVERALL.
This season, it’s crafted from a thick, substantial cotton twill.

The DARK TAN color is a bit darker than standard chinos—it’s more of a deep beige.
I think it’s very easy to coordinate for autumn and winter.
The left chest pocket and collar are accented with goat suede.

With the black version, you can really see the luster.
It’ll reach its full potential once you’ve worn it in and the fabric starts to show some wear.

The back can be cinched above the waist.
Leaving it loose gives it a more masculine, rugged feel, while cinching it adds a subtle, elegant essence.
I personally prefer it just a little cinched. Find what works best for you.

A visual hallmark of SARTO garments is the unique forward-curving sleeve that arcs from shoulder to elbow.
Not all SARTO pieces have this, but I think for many of you, this specific sleeve construction is a defining point that makes it feel like "SARTO."
They add volume behind the elbow—without it being exaggerated or feminine—and angle the arm forward.
The sleeve seam runs continuously from the slightly sloped shoulder line; I suspect that’s where they control the volume and the arc.
I also find beauty in how the puckering along that seam really stands out—that’s classic SARTO.

[HEAVY COTTON TWILL] TUCKED TROUSERS

SARTO
[HEAVY COTTON TWILL] TUCKED TROUSERS
color _ BLACK
size _ M,L
Trousers made from the same material as the SHORT COVERALL above.
While they lean toward autumn/winter, they have the kind of versatility that makes them perfect as year-round 100% cotton pants.

It’s a cliché expression, but they have a silhouette that’s "not too wide, not too slim."
Though that phrase can sound as empty as "a 50% chance of rain," I genuinely mean it: they’re really not too wide, and really not too slim. Seriously.
To put it another way: they’re not too sloppy, and not too sharp. That’s the balance.
It’s not about the measurements being wide or slim; what’s important is that balance.

The hip isn’t extremely compact, but it’s very three-dimensional, smoothing out the curve of the rear.
The balance of "sloppy" and "sharp."

The waist is constructed with a yoke like denim, and instead of darts, it has small inward-facing tucks.
Even so, the hip doesn't sag, and the inseam hangs perfectly straight.
The balance of "sloppy" and "sharp."
It’s this kind of perfection that you don’t notice at a glance—which I think is the reason why, before you know it, you find yourself wearing SARTO all the time.

SARTO
[WOOL OMBRE CHECK] WOOL OMBRE CHECK LONG SKIPPER SHIRT
color _ IVORY x BROWN,BLACK x DARK BROWN
size _ M
A semi-long length skipper shirt.
SARTO proposes many skipper-style shirts, but this one has a particularly unique character.
I personally wear the 25AW skipper long shirt, and it’s one of my absolute favorites.
There have been changes since last year, such as the shape of the collar, but it’s actually an incredibly easy shirt to wear.

The hem is deeply rounded and cut off.
Go ahead and wash it until it’s nice and frayed.

Last year it was a band collar, but this year it features a wing collar.
I think it’s become even easier to balance.

It also works great in a style where you layer a jacket over it and pop the collar out.
Because it’s long-length × skipper × cutoff, it doesn’t look like you’re trying too hard.
It has just the right amount of ease.

It’s an unusual shirt, but it fits into the SARTO style perfectly.
Seeing is believing. Try it on, and you’ll find all sorts of styling ideas coming to mind.

[COTTON NYLON TWILL × LIGHT WOOL FLANNEL] WOOL LINING MOUNTAIN PARKA
color _ RED × M.GRAY
size _ S,M

SARTO
[COTTON NYLON TWILL × LIGHT WOOL FLANNEL] WOOL LINING MOUNTAIN PARKA
color _ BLACK × BROWN
size _ S,M,L
Personally, this mountain parka is my top recommendation.
It really is incredibly well-made.

The shape of this hood is distinctive.
Most hoods are formed by two pieces of fabric on the left and right, but this one uses a piece shaped like the bottom of a boat to support the back of the head.
It’s a hood shape I’ve never seen before, but by doing this, when you let the hood hang down on your back, it doesn't fall to the sides but instead settles beautifully.
Furthermore, when you put the hood up, your head doesn't just rattle around inside; it tracks along with your neck movements.
Rather than relying on drawcords or adjusters to fix functional issues, they solved it with the pattern-cutting itself. I really feel the originality and technique that is so classic SARTO.

The front features a seam from the neck that flows directly into a slash pocket on the chest, connecting seamlessly to the flap of the waist pocket.

When you open the flap, a piped waist pocket is revealed, but it is sized so you can still slide your hand into it even with the flap's snap button closed.
This kind of thoughtfulness is truly characteristic of SARTO.

There is an adjuster under the arm.
By using this, you can tuck away the extra fabric under the arm, allowing you to wear a coat over it.

There is a large action pleat in the center of the back.
It ensures plenty of range of motion.
The hood sits really neatly, doesn't it?

The black has a tactical vibe, and the red is just the perfect red.
In some movie, Rie Miyazawa said, "Mom loves the red of passion." Me too.
It was "Her Love Boils Bathwater," maybe. I forget, though.
Everyone has their color preferences, but I hope you'll try wearing whichever one you like.
I think you'll find that it's a meticulously crafted mountain parka that has been carefully thought out down to the smallest detail.

Also, it’s actually reversible.
When wearing it on this side, you fasten it with the buttons on the chest.
You can't use the front zip.
But that's what makes it good.
The way of wearing it changes out of necessity, and as a result, its role changes too.
I'm not going to post photos of the reverse side to keep this blog from becoming just a photo album, but I really encourage you to try it out.

SARTO
[WOOL LIGHT FLANNEL] FULLING WOOL FLANNEL MODS COAT
color _ GLEN CHECK
size _ M
A mods coat proposed by SARTO, in true SARTO style.
Mods coats have always been close to culture in every era, so they inevitably become items with a sense of déjà vu, but this mods coat made of glen check fabric feels like it has a story behind it.
Like a young man who was a cool Mod in his youth, and as he grows older, wears a traditional glen check coat.
It's like that fused into one piece.
It feels a bit American, a bit British.
I think you can style it in various ways depending on which context you choose to pick up on.

I was doing it unconsciously, but in terms of age, I might have been picking up the young side, and in terms of nationality, the American side.
Layering it over a mountain parka and pairing it with denim.
But the shoes are LEVER.
Sort of like harboring a secret longing for things British.
,,,Even if it’s subconscious.

Because it's a mods coat made of felted wool flannel, you can wear it lightly, contrary to its volume.
It doesn't have that heavy, dragging feeling on the shoulders of a typical mods coat.
Very comfortable.

This doesn't really matter, but I just graduated from having long hair for the first time in about 10 years, so I can finally wear coats like this without looking like a drifter.
I guess this brings me one step closer to the "ordinary middle-aged guy" I'm aiming to be.

It's definitely a wool coat, but I think it can be worn without too much fuss.
High quality and elegant, yet worn roughly, respecting its origins.
It's a piece I want to wear with a relaxed style.

SARTO
[WOOL SILK CASHMERE BEAVER] SINGLE COAT
color _ BLACK
size _ M
Speaking of SARTO coats, the river coat.
It's a coat tailored with river construction.
Different from the glen check mods coat from earlier, this is a coat that is all about hyper-elegance.
n
For those who feel, "I've been lacking elegance lately," I recommend this one.

It conveys meaning even without words or knowledge.
I think that's why you might turn your head when you see someone in town.
It means an "image" is formed where you intuitively think "that looks beautiful" or "that has class" the moment you see it.
Of course, materials, patterns, and stitching—the elements necessary to create clothing—all have to be meticulously crafted for that to happen, but conversely, I don't think that alone is enough.
In other words, there are parts that can be explained, but there are also parts that cannot.
The only thing I can say is that among the many clothes in the world, there aren't that many that possess such an inexplicable beauty.
Even within SARTO, which sublimates everything from casual items like denim and T-shirts to idiosyncratic pieces like leather and homespun within a single style, I think this coat truly holds a primitive beauty that makes you feel that.

SARTO is a brand that has a very diverse appearance depending on which point you choose to focus on.
Some people might feel SARTO is a casual brand, while others might feel it's a mode brand.
There are those who pick up on its elegance, and those who pick up on its ruggedness.
I don't think any of those views are wrong; in fact, I think they are all correct.
You could say that means it's complex and cryptic, but I don't think that's entirely wrong either.
However, precisely because it is a brand with such depth and range, I want you to dwell a little on *why* you felt it was casual, or *why* you felt it was mode.
I’m sure you’ve all seen and worn various clothes before. But even if you haven't, that's okay too.
There's no need to compare them or measure them against others.
Why did you feel that way about it? I'm sure the seeds to enjoying SARTO are hidden there.
That is how much of a variety of perspectives, ingenuity, and sense are infused into the clothes.
The items I've been able to introduce on Instagram and this blog represent only a very small fraction.
I don't think you'll ever have the chance to see about 100 SARTO items at once, including archive pieces, again.
I would be very happy if you could find a seed to enjoy SARTO during this opportunity.
For those of you who already have the seeds, and for those of you who have already sprouted, please look forward to it.
Because this time, it's really something else.

The SARTO team will be in the store tomorrow and the day after.
